United Way of Central Indiana
Welcome to the United Way pledge portal for Indianapolis Public Schools!
Team IPS-
Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) is the largest school district in Indiana and one of the largest employers in Indianapolis. We serve over 30,000 students, employ 5000 employees, and celebrate diversity. Whenever you choose to live, work or play in an area, it becomes part of who you are and you become a part of what makes that place special. As a valued IPS employee, you are contributing to our amazing city by personally investing in the futures of the many bright and talented students we have the pleasure of educating. As we prepare our students for what we call the “three E’s” – Enrollment in a two- or four-year college or university, Enlistment in the military, or Employment at a livable wage upon on-time graduation, we are actively engaged in the continuous advancement of our unique community. We are Proud to be Public and Committed to Giving Back.
We invite you to consider how you can make an even greater impact in our community by donating a portion of what you earn to help support the many services and programs that are sponsored by the United Way of Central Indiana (UWCI) that benefit local families.
UWCI supports ReadUP – a volunteer program in which community members receive training to provide tutoring support to help our elementary students reach grade-level literacy. UWCI also supports 85 agencies that provide human services to our families and neighbors. They also support 10 Center for Working Families that help give people the support they need to become more financially stable. And last year alone here are only some of the accomplishments in the community:
- 4,168 individuals served by Center for Working Families
- 1,640 children received scholarships for high-quality pre-k
- 18,661 households were helped with utility assistance
- 2,192 beds were filled by homeless individuals and families thanks to the Winter Contingency Fund
- And so much more!
Your individual donation will help sponsor ongoing efforts, like our programs and agencies, that directly support our students and families and strengthen our community. Together, we can achieve a lot!
Thank you!
